Internship Program Legislative Information Services National Conference of State Legislatures (Denver Office)
Serving as a key resource for state lawmakers since 1975, the National Conference of State Legislatures is a premiere, non-partisan source for research, publications, consulting services, and meetings and seminars. As a core research program within NCSL, the Legislative Information Services program provides information both internally and externally across the spectrum of public policy issues, with an emphasis on information technology issues. Interns will respond to information requests from legislative offices in the 50 states and territories and complete additional research and writing projects as assigned.
Eligibility Although law students are preferred, internships are also available for graduate and undergraduate students majoring in applicable areas.
Pay Internships are unpaid. However, many university and college departments will give academic credit for internships. It is the student’s responsibility to contact his or her advisor and obtain academic credit within the school’s guidelines.
Duration/Hours One semester, 10-20 hours per week
