Overview of The NCSL Foundation for State Legislatures
Where can you regularly exchange ideas with state legislators on today's critical public policy issues?
The NCSL Foundation for State Legislatures offers opportunities for businesses, national associations and unions seeking to improve the state legislative process and enhance NCSL's services to all legislatures.
The Foundation is a nonprofit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation that raises money to support the objectives and special projects of the National Conference of State Legislatures. Its volunteer board of directors is composed of corporate and union executives as well as state legislative leaders and senior legislative staff.
The Foundation is dedicated to building public trust and confidence in representative democracy through public outreach and education, ethics in government and strengthening state legislatures. The Foundation supports the Trust for Representative Democracy, the Center for Ethics in Government and the Women's Legislative Network.
Our aim is to expand opportunities throughout each year for frequent and useful discussions on major state issues. Sponsors are invited to our Legislative Summit reception with NCSL officers and legislative leaders. They receive special recognition, discounts or complimentary registrations at major NCSL meetings, and free or discounted NCSL publications. Sponsors may submit position papers for inclusion in NCSL's databases, making them available to legislators across the country, and can access StateConnect, the most complete, accurate and constantly updated database of state legislatures.
Forging New Partnerships...
We invite supporters to work with NCSL on public-private partnerships that create additional tools and valuable new NCSL resources for state legislators and senior staff.
Information At Your Fingertips...

- Making your viewpoints on state policies available to legislators in all the states, commonwealths and territories, through NCSL committees and the NCSLnet.
- Requesting specific information on policy issues and programs of particular interest to you.
- Receiving NCSL studies, periodicals and other publications providing reliable data on state trends, current developments, and upcoming NCSL meetings.
