There is More to this Election than the Race for the White House
Join the nation's top experts on elections and ballot measures, as they preview what voters can expect on the ballot this November.
DENVER - The 2008 legislative elections will bring major change with 80% of all seats to be decided. This year is also critical because 642 state legislators will be elected who will be in office for the 2010 redistricting. In addition, more than 140 questions have qualified for statewide ballots. The length of the ballots in Colorado, Oregon and California continue to grow and will have the most measures in the country come election day.
Members of the media have the opportunity to attend a free webinar hosted by the National Conference of State Legislatures. The webinar will take place on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008 at 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT. Join NCSL's election experts, Jennifer Bowser and Tim Storey, as they discuss the top 10 statehouse election battlegrounds and give the inside story on the questions that have qualified for statewide ballots.
