Uniform Real Property Recording Act

The Uniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act equates electronic real estate documents  and electronic signatures to original paper real estate documents and manual signatures, so that any requirement for originality is satisfied by an electronic document and signature.  The act also establishes what standards a recording office must follow, establishes what the recording office must do to make electronic recording effective and establishes a board to set unified statewide standards that must be implemented in every recording office.
