Registration and Voting Information

Are you looking for information on how, when and where to register to vote?  Or are you interested in voting absentee by mail, or perhaps learning about opportunities for in-person early voting?

State and local election officials are responsible for conducting all aspects of elections, including voting registration and early and absentee voting.  The laws in each state are different.  To learn about voting laws in your state, please visit the National Association of Secretaries of State.

This nonpartisan organization's website offers links directly to your state that will tell you:

  • If you're registered to vote
  • If you're not, how to get registered
  • Where to find your polling place on election day
  • What kind of identification you'll need at the polls
  • How to vote early or by absentee ballot
  • Where you can get information about the candidates on your ballot
  • How to be a poll worker
