Seminar Registration

Registration fees for the ASLCS Professional Development Seminar are:

Legislative staff: $325
Spouse/guest: $195
All others: $500

Registration. Please use the online registration form or complete the form and fax it in. The deadline for registering is Sept. 17, 2008.

Online Registration.  Register online: www.ncsl.org/public/registration/mtg_reg.htm?mtg=aslcs08

Registration online requires a credit card for everyone except legislators and legislative staff. Confirmations will be sent by e-mail, and meeting materials will be mailed. Those without an e-mail address may request to receive confirmation in the mail.

Onsite Registration.  If you are unable to meet the Sept. 17, 2008, registration deadline, please register onsite at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino.

Spouse/Guest Registration.  The $195 fee includes admission to all scheduled meal functions and evening social events. It must be paid in full at the time of registration.

Cancellations.  Cancellations received in the NCSL Denver office by September 30 will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations must be made in writing and faxed to (303) 364-7811 or e-mailed to registration@ncsl.org. Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the conference begins.

Confirmations.  Confirmations will be e-mailed if an address is provided. Letter confirmations will be mailed upon request.

Hotel Information

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino, 407 North Virginia Street, Reno, Nevada, 89501. Each attendee is responsible for making his or her hotel and travel arrangements. Contact the Silver Legacy at (800) 687-8733 or (775) 329-4777. The ASLCS Professional Development Seminar rate is $89 per night (excluding tax) for Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and $119 per night (excluding tax) for Friday and Saturday. All room night stays are charged a $3 per night, per room resort fee, which covers shuttle service to and from the airport, self and valet parking, and local telephone calls. When arranging hotel accommodations, please indicate that you are attending the ASLCS conference to receive the rate. Reservations must be held by one night’s room deposit (major credit card guarantee is acceptable). The cut-off date for the negotiated rate is Sept. 2, 2008. Travel Information

Reno is served by the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Reservations must be made at least seven days in advance, but make arrangements early for the best rates. To make flight reservations, call Andavo Travel toll-free at (800) 825-3283 (7 a.m. to 6 p.m. MDT). In Colorado or outside the continental United States, call (303) 694-4344. The host state will not provide transportation from the airport to the hotel; however, the Silver Legacy airport shuttles run every half hour.
