February 2008

  hot  warm

The NCSL health programs and staff collect information related to many state and federal health issues. The programs track legislative action in the states, identify new and important research and the effects on public policy and disseminates information about state innovations. Most of the issues that the programs study and track are listed below.

USING THIS ISSUE LIST: Each of the broad topics listed below are web links to additional NCSL reports and resources, from both Denver and D.C. based staff.  Most of these links lead to additional publications, legislative tracking reports, slide presentations by staff and other national experts, meeting summaries, web-assisted audio conferences, and/or information on upcoming meetings.
State Health Notes: On topics with the notation "articles"  there is an additional link to the index of articles published in NCSL's State Health Notes.  In addition, most topics include direct access to non-NCSL publications, articles and communications.  NCSL members are entitled to access to all listed publications; non-members may need to purchase selected items.
